Classroom and Behind the Wheel training for students ages 15-18.
ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Early Childhood Screening is FREE and provides general information about your child's growth and development, identify possible health or learning concerns, and connect you with community resources and programs
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days. Kid Ventures is currently WAITLIST ONLY.
Summer PLUS is a summer academic program for students who have been specially invited and referred based on one or more of the following state and district criteria: academic performance, attendance, mental health or English learner status.

Basketball, Flag Football, Tennis, Soccer, Lacrosse, Skating and more for students Pre-K to 12th grade.
Refresh or gain the skills and certification necessary to apply first aid, administer CPR, use and AED, and perform lifesaving techniques.
25-26 Registration opens for new families at 10:00 a.m on Thursday, March 6th. We welcome you to our open house on Tuesday, February 25th from 5:45-7:00 pm at the NCEC, 700 Lincoln Parkway.
Why should your family choose Hand in Hand Preschool? We help prepare students for school success! We have a team of licensed teachers and support staff who make early childhood their priority. We have co-taught classrooms with smaller class limits, bilingual staff, and consultation with district speech, social work, physical and occupational therapists on a daily basis. Our classrooms are integrated, meaning we serve all children with many different backgrounds, abilities and interests. Hand in Hand uses district-aligned curriculum and assessment that is research based and child focused. Our program has strong partnerships with local schools, colleges, AmeriCorps, local care centers, the Northfield Library and more! There is also financial assistance, transportation and extended day for our 5 full day students available.
2025-2026 Hand in Hand Rates: (*Unless receiving a scholarship)
**$60 registration fee holds your spot
2 day am classes: $170 per month
3 day am and pm classes: $236 per month
4 day pm classes: $309 per month
5 day am class: $389 per month
5 day full day class: $918 per month
Monthly transportation fees are $48 for 2 days, $60 for 3 days, $70 for 4 days or $82 for 5 days unless receiving scholarship
**There will also be a yearly snack/milk fee.
Class follow the K-12 school calendar. AM classes run 9-11:45 am, PM classes run 1-3:45 pm and All-day classes run M-F 9-3:45. Each week on Wednesday AM classes run 9:45-12:00 and PM classes run 1:15-3:45 pm for Professional Learning Communities (PLC's).
