Driver Education Parent Awareness Presentation

Driver Education -
Summer 2024

Driver Education Classroom instructor Kevin Dahle and Sgt. Paul LaRoche from the Rice County Sheriff's Office will present the "Point of Impact" program and will be available to answer any specific questions afterwards as it relates to community based Driver Education and local law enforcement. After attending this event, parents will receive a certificate that reduces their student’s required driving hours from 50 hours to 40 hours. The objectives of this "Point of Impact" presentation is to increase parental awareness of:

  • All teen driving risks present today
  • Current driving laws in MN and best practices for teen drivers and their parents
  • Parental involvement with the Driver's Education learning process
  • Resources available to parents and their teen drivers

This event is free, but please register in advance under the parent's name and note your student's full name in the question area (first, middle, last) so we can prepare your certificate.
