ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Early Childhood Screening is FREE and provides general information about your child's growth and development, identify possible health or learning concerns, and connect you with community resources and programs
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days. Kid Ventures is currently WAITLIST ONLY.

Gift Certificates from Northfield Community Education can be used for early childhood, youth enrichment and recreation AND adult enrichment and recreation classes.
Karate develops self-confidence, focus, strength, and flexibility. Karate is a rewarding physical activity for adults, children, and families. Train in Shorin-Ryu karate, a traditional Okinawan style. Emphasis is on kata (forms) and self-defense application, not free-style sparring nor competition. You train to improve yourself, not compare yourself to other students – beginners are especially welcome! Our school is part of Ueshiro Shorin-Ryu Karate USA. For more information visit https://northfieldkarate.com. Students will purchase a gi (white karate uniform) near the start of class. Testing fees are additional. It is recommended that children under 10 be accompanied by at least one other family attending classes. Students may attend as many or as few sessions as they'd like.
