The St. Olaf Music Academy provides an opportunity for highly skilled high school choir, band, and orchestra musicians from across the nation to take part in an exciting week of music-making led by the conductors of our internationally acclaimed ensembles. St. Olaf Band Conductor Henry Dorn, Manitou Singers Conductor Therees Tkach Hibbard, and St. Olaf Orchestra Conductor Chung Park, as well as a team of other talented St. Olaf music faculty, will challenge and inspire campers to take their music-making to the next level. Campers will attend classes, one-on-one lessons, rehearsals, master classes, and participate in large ensemble (band, orchestra, choir) and small ensemble (quartet, quintet) experiences. Student and faculty recitals will take place each evening followed by signature St. Olaf activities led by current students. The week will culminate with an inspiring final concert in Boe Chapel, open for families and friends to attend!
