ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Early Childhood Screening is FREE and provides general information about your child's growth and development, identify possible health or learning concerns, and connect you with community resources and programs
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days. Kid Ventures is currently WAITLIST ONLY.

Improve your chess skills and meet new friends in the Northfield MS/HS Chess Club! The club will meet for practice one day a week and attend competitions on Mondays. Practices will be after school at NHS starting Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 2:45pm-4:45pm in Room H122. There will be up to 7 in-person tournaments on Mondays. To join, students will pay a $134 registration fee. Transportation to competitions may be the responsibility of each family depending on fundraising results. Middle School students may ride the Activities Bus to the High School to attend practice. Sign up today!
