Northfield Community Education

This simple hat will make a wonderful gift for yourself or someone on your holiday list. Made on large needles in the round, it is quick to complete. Skills taught will include the Old Norwegian Cast-On, knitting in the round, purling, ribbing, decreasing, and reading a pattern. The class is intended for knitters who already know how to cast on and work the knit stitch. The class fee includes the cost of the pattern, which will be provided.  Bring to the first class: 

1. at least 108 yards of bulky yarn (i.e., weight category 5)
2. one 16-inch US 10 (6.0mm) circular needle
3. one set of US 10 (6.0mm) double-pointed needles
4. 8 stitch markers
5. a tapestry needle.
