ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Early Childhood Screening is FREE and provides general information about your child's growth and development, identify possible health or learning concerns, and connect you with community resources and programs
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.
Summer PLUS is a summer academic program for students who have been specially invited and referred based on one or more of the following state and district criteria: academic performance, attendance, mental health or English learner status.

In this hands-on course, you’ll dive into the world of game development using **Scratch 3**, a powerful visual coding platform. You’ll learn to think like a programmer, mastering key coding concepts while designing your own 2D Super Mario Bros.-themed game from the ground up. In the first part of the class, our expert instructor will guide you through the basics, but the real fun begins when you get to put your own spin on the game! Customize levels, add characters, and create unique challenges to make your game truly one-of-a-kind. Whether you're a beginner or have some coding experience, this class offers something for everyone! Don’t forget to bring a USB drive to save your creations—you’ll want to show off your game when you’re done! And of course, bring your lunch and a drink to fuel your creativity.
