Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies over Northfield! Get to know constellations like the Big Bear, Cygnus the Swan, Pegasus the Winged Horse, and many more. You’ll hear many fun stories about how some of these constellations found their way to the heavens. There will be giant telescopes aimed at the Moon, Saturn, star clusters, galaxies, and more. New video telescopes will display live images of distant celestial treasures in amazing color! Take home a great complimentary handout package of star maps, constellation charts, as well as great websites and app recommendations. Also included is a practical telescope buying guide. Mike Lynch is a retired WCCO Radio meteorologist and has been hosting star parties and teaching astronomy classes for over 50 years. He also writes a weekly stargazing column for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and is the author of the book “Stars, a Month by Month Tour of the Constellations.” Books will be available for purchase at the program. Select Mike Lynch celestial photos, and super cool glow-in-the-dark star shirts will also be available for sale.
The Great Night Sky is Waiting! Enrollment is limited to 60 people to ensure a great experience for everyone. Recommended for ages 6 years-adult.
