The six-hour Behind-the-Wheel experience is available following completion of the classroom session. Students must be at least 15 years old, have successfully completed 30 hours of Classroom Drivers Education and have their permit. We recommend completing your three 2-hour sessions close to the time of your DMV road test. Focus on logging practice hours first, then contact us 3–4 months before your test to schedule your appointments. The Behind the Wheel scheduling link is provided upon request once a student is officially registered for the program. *Email Marianne Moser, Enrichment Coordinator, at mmoser@northfieldschools.org with any questions.
Then after successful completion of the Behind-the-Wheel instruction, students will receive a Certificate of Completion Card which is necessary to apply for a driver's license. Cost for replacement of lost or damaged cards is $10. Please note: If you fail to attend the driving appointment you are registered for or cancel your appointment on the same day (within 12 hours)
