ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Explore, Learn & Grow – Classes for K–12 Students

Classes for Middle and High School students.
The Knightcrawlers Masters Swim Club meets MWF, from 5 - 6:15 am at the Northfield Middle School pool. Sessions feature customized workouts created by Coach KevinO'Brien. Kevin Has been involved in competitive swimming for over 27 years and Coaching 13 of them. Kevin was the Head Coach for the Red Wing High School Girls and Boys teams for 7 years and has been Coaching with the Knightcrawlers for 4. Swimmers are placed in lanes according to ability. Our top work out group will swim around 3,000 yards and our bottom group around 1,600-2,200. Swimmers are by no means required to follow workouts exactly, as long as the flow of a lane is not interrupted.
