Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Classes for Middle and High School students.
The quest for adventure and learning a lifetime sport, begins with our Summit Ski Lessons! Our veteran instructor has been teaching the basics and art of skiing for decades, and will share their expertise with your child. Beginner and advanced options are available to suit the ability level of every skier. Beginners will focus on stopping, turning, getting on and off a chair lift, and will learn general safety. Your advanced student will become a stronger, more confident skier through balance and carving drills, and will work toward mastery of specific skills of interest. This is a one-of-a-kind experience your child will thrive in and enjoy. You may choose the 3-week beginner course (first 3 weeks of instruction & second 3 weeks of open skiing), the 3-week advanced course (first 3 weeks of open skiing & second 3 weeks of instruction), or all six weeks of progressive instruction.

Program Dates (6X): January 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb. 2, 9 (make up days scheduled for Feb. 16 & 23). The Northfield Ski Club will run on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (1/19) when there is no school. Drop participants in their respective busing area between 2:50 - 3 pm on non-school days.

- RENTAL IF NEEDED: #1358-W26 Rental $250 (6 times) Rental packages include skis, boots, poles, and helmet.
- 3X BEGINNER INSTRUCTION (2 hours per night) / 3X OPEN SKI (transportation not included): #1358-W26BEG $119 - Instructional dates: Jan. 5, 12, & 19 / Open ski dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 2, & 9
- 3X ADVANCED INSTRUCTION (2 hours per night) / 3X OPEN SKI (transportation not included): #1358-W26ADV $119 - Instructional dates: Jan. 26, Feb. 2, & 9 / Open ski dates: Jan. 5, 12, & 19 (advanced athletes must be able to turn, stop, and be comfortable skiing a blue)

STEP 2 Purchase the Night Club Pass. All Summit lesson participants must obtain a Welch Village pass (night or unlimited season pass), purchased directly from Welch. Once registered through Community Ed, you will receive a link in your confirmation email on how to purchase the discounted Night Club Pass. The Night Club Pass (after 3 pm everyday) = $239 + tax. There is no pass price correction if purchased outside of the club discount.
8th grade students attending the high school parent night on 2/9 may request a one-day refund for transportation & rental by contacting Melissa (mbernhard@northfieldschools.org).
