Classroom and Behind the Wheel training for students ages 15-18.
ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Early Childhood Screening is FREE and provides general information about your child's growth and development, identify possible health or learning concerns, and connect you with community resources and programs
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Explore, Learn & Grow – Classes for K–12 Students

Refresh or gain the skills and certification necessary to apply first aid, administer CPR, use and AED, and perform lifesaving techniques.

Choose the classroom section that works best for your schedule. Then after your student completes the classroom phase, they will be issued a blue card (Certificate of Enrollment and Classroom Completion). This blue card is necessary to apply for an instruction permit. Once the permit has been obtained, the student should practice driving with parents and then contact us to schedule driving appointments with our Behind the Wheel instructor closer to the date of their road test. *Email Marianne at mmoser@northfieldschools.org or call 507.664.3648 to arrange Behind the Wheel dates/times that fit your schedule.
After successful completion of the Behind-the-Wheel instruction, students will receive a Certificate of Completion Card which is necessary to apply for a driver's license.
Please note: If you fail to attend the driving appointment you are registered for or cancel your appointment on the same day (within 12 hours)
