ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Once upon a time... we put on a show! Welcome to Storybook Theatre, where we take classic fairytales and put a fun twist on them, and then you get to act them out! Do you love acting, singing, and dancing? Then Storybook Theatre will surely be a great fit for you! In just one week we'll put together a whole musical, and you get to be one of the stars! Come have a wondrous week with Storybook Theatre!
OUR SUMMER 2026 SHOW IS HANSEL & GRETEL!
Practice times are:
9:30am-1:45pm Monday, Wednesday & Thursday
Tuesday 9:30am-11:30am or 11:45am-1:45pm depending on role (roles will be determined during Monday's rehearsal)
Friday, report at 3:30pm for the 7pm show
Saturday, report at 11am for the NOON show.
SHOWTIMES: FRIDAY, JULY 17 7PM | SATURDAY, JULY 18, NOON.
All practices and performances will be at the Northfield Middle School Auditorium
More details will be sent home after the first practice, and depending on your student's role, practice times may be adjusted. Be sure to send your student with a water bottle and dinner or hearty snack each day.
