ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Get ready for hands-on fun in the kitchen! Smart Snacks Thursday is a series of one-hour children’s cooking classes led by local holistic nutritionist Jackie Mart. Each class focuses on creating kid-approved, healthier snack recipes using wholesome ingredients. Kids will mix, assemble, taste, and learn while building confidence and independence in the kitchen.
Each class features different recipes so families can choose one class or several throughout the summer. All supplies are included, and students will enjoy making snacks they can recreate at home.
