ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Explore, Learn & Grow – Classes for K–12 Students

Refresh or gain the skills and certification necessary to apply first aid, administer CPR, use and AED, and perform lifesaving techniques.
The sun is your best friend if you know how to use it! This class teaches how to cook with just the sun! Solar cooking bypasses traditional cooking means. No electricity, gas, charcoal or wood needed for solar cooking. Students will learn how to cook meals, dry food for preservation and purify water all with the sun. In the end, students will build their own mini sun oven! Participants will take home an edible micro green plant and mini solar oven.
A minimum enrollment is required for this class. Please register at least 5 business days before the start date (by July 6) to help ensure the class runs.
