ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Explore, Learn & Grow – Classes for K–12 Students
Basketball, Flag Football, Tennis, Soccer, Lacrosse, Skating and more for students Pre-K to 12th grade.
Refresh or gain the skills and certification necessary to apply first aid, administer CPR, use and AED, and perform lifesaving techniques.
Classes for Middle and High School students.
Promoting high school girls flag football means creating space for girls to compete, lead, and build confidence through sport. This girls flag program, supported by the MN Vikings, is a fast-growing game (81 MN high school teams in 2025), and emphasizes teamwork, athleticism, and strategy while fostering inclusion and school pride. By supporting girls flag football, schools empower young women, expand opportunities in athletics, and help shape a future where the field is open to everyone. Games are 55 minutes in length, and are played 5v5 against other area teams. Northfield will host one week. Fields are just 40 yards in length, and half of a regulation-sized football field. Join the club and have a blast!
