Work together as an adult and child team to create a meaningful, one-of-a-kind memory quilt. Inspired by Krista’s book Scout’s Memory Quilt, this class invites families to turn special memories, favorite fabrics, and even meaningful clothing into a cozy keepsake. While the book is rooted in themes of grief, this class is appropriate for anyone who would like to create a comforting quilt filled with positive memories and personal meaning. During the first session, you will design and plan your individual quilt and spark your creativity. Participants will also decorate quilted hearts (ifoundaquiltedheart.com) to share as random acts of kindness. No sewing machines are needed for the first week, as the focus will be on planning and design. After the first meeting, Krista will provide guidance on the fabric and supplies needed based on your chosen quilt style. Families will bring their materials to the remaining sessions to complete their project together. Participants will need: Sewing machine and thread, batting, and fabric (amount varies by quilt size and design). Fabric may include favorite colors, textures, or pieces of clothing connected to special memories. Registration Note: Please register the adult who will be attending. During registration, you will be asked to provide the child’s name. Class fee includes a copy of Scout's Memory Quilt
