ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Explore, Learn & Grow – Classes for K–12 Students
Basketball, Flag Football, Tennis, Soccer, Lacrosse, Skating and more for students Pre-K to 12th grade.
Refresh or gain the skills and certification necessary to apply first aid, administer CPR, use and AED, and perform lifesaving techniques.
Train your dog indisciplines like obedience, tricks, agility, and more with the support of trainers that will help your child and canine companion succeed. Train in all the areas or just the ones that interest you. Many of our trainers have over 25 years of experience in dog training, showing, and judging. Youth have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned at the end of season dog show in July. if you have questions about this program. Kick-Off Meeting: Monday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m., Dakota County Extension Office in Fgtn (families only, do not bring your dog)
Dog Training Sessions: 5 - 9 p.m. on 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 6/1, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20 (attend as many as you like)
Dakota County 4-H Dog Show (optional): July 25 or 26, TBD
Youth currently in 3rd through 12th grade may participate. An adult is required to stay onsite for supervision and support with equipment set-up/takedown.
Dog Requirements: Must be 12 months old to participate in training. Paperwork showing the dog is up to date with vaccinations will need to be completed and returned prior to bringing your dog to a training session.
