ECFE is a statewide program that provides parent/child classes to all families with children birth to kindergarten. Classes are designed for your child's development and to support you as parents and caregivers.
Screening is free and includes a quick check your child's health and development. Screening is completed by an Early Childhood Professional and is tailored for your child's age, there is no pass or fail!
Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.

Explore, Learn & Grow – Classes for K–12 Students

Refresh or gain the skills and certification necessary to apply first aid, administer CPR, use and AED, and perform lifesaving techniques.
Rally to one of the finest youth programs in Northfield! Community Education and the Northfield Tennis Association have been working together for years to uphold the strong tradition of tennis in Northfield. Coaches are carefully selected and trained, and are highly skilled, motivational, excellent with kids, and know how to have fun! By utilizing equipment and court dimensions tailored to age and size, coaches will engage participants with innovative and unique training equipment and drills to effectively train youth for the game. Beginner: Designed to help develop agility, balance, and coordination, lessons include movement activities, fun instructional drills, recreational games, and will focus on the learning of basic strokes. Various low compression tennis balls are used for each class: Grades K-2 will use Red Ball (75% slower than standard yellow ball), Grades 3-5 will use Orange Ball (50% slower than standard yellow ball) and Grades 6-8 will use Green Ball (25% slower than standard yellow ball).
Intermediate: Designed for players who have mastered the basic strokes, lessons will focus on footwork, agility, developing groundstrokes and serves, fun instructional drills, and competitive games.
