Hometown Hoedown/Youth Horseshoe Hunt
Saddle up for a hoedown at Dakota Stables. This event is open to all ages of country bumpkins. The evening will begin with age categorized, family friendly competitions featuring the potato sac race, the shoe kick, a team round bale roll, a sawdust hunt, a hay bale toss, and horseshoe hunt! After the winners have been branded, you can hit the open range and rope on over to the lasso station, roll up onto a wagon ride, curry on over to the grooming area, or cowboy up onto a horse and have yourself a ride. Before you harness up the family and trot home, we encourage you to pull up your britches for the All-American western dance that will close out the night. A food truck will be available to purchase a variety of food/drink items. 5 - 8 pm: Open Activities: Wagon rides, grooming area, lasso station, and horseback riding 5:15 - 6:30 pm: Age categorized, family friendly competitions & horseshoe hunt 7:30 - 8:00 pm: Dance

Early Ventures Learning Center is a Minnesota Department of Human Services licensed childcare center for children ages 6 weeks until kindergarten entrance located at the Northfield Community Education Center.
We offer classes for children ages 3-5 with morning, afternoon and all-day options to attend 2,3,4 or 5 days per week. We are 4 star rated from the state of Minnesota!
Kid Ventures is a school-age care program through Northfield Public Schools Community Education. Kid Ventures operates before and after school, during the summer, and on most non-school days.
