Beginning Spanish 1LanguagePopularLearn question formation and response, the present tense, the future tense and how to express personal preferences. Vocabulary will include numbers, colors, feelings, food items, family members, common activities and clothing. Students will need to order both a workbook and a text online. The workbook is Realidades 1 practice and the text is Realidades 1. Your journey will be led by instructor Chris Kauffeld, who completed coursework for his M.A. in Spanish in Santiago de Compostela, Spain and taught English for two years in Zaragoza, Spain.Fall 2022

Beginning Spanish 4LanguageThis 8-week class is suitable for students who completed Spanish 3 in the Spring, or for more advanced Spanish speakers. Students will complete chapter 8 and 9 in the REALIDADES 1 text, covering vocabulary related to travel, media and the community. Grammar topics will include the preterite tense of -er and -ir verbs, the present and preterite tense of some irregular verbs and indirect object pronouns. Students will continue to work their way through the "Realidades 1" textbook and workbook. New students will need to purchase a "Realidades 1: Student text" online (published in 2006 by Prentice Hall).Fall 2022
