All Comers Track MeetEventsAn All-Comers Track & Field Meet will take place Wednesday, August 24, at the Northfield Middle School track, located at 2200 Division St. South. The event is free and open to the public. The fun, family-friendly meet welcomes ages 2-102! Registration and field events begin at 6 p.m. Races begin at 6:30 pm. Activities are broken down by age and gender and include sprints, distance, relays and field events. Children, youth, teens, college students, and adults of varying abilities and experience are encouraged to participate. Ribbons will be awarded for placing and participation. No pre-registration. Hometown Hoedown/Youth Horseshoe HuntEventsSaddle up for a hoedown at Dakota Stables. This event is open to all ages of country bumpkins. The evening will begin with age categorized, family friendly competitions featuring the potato sac race, the shoe kick, a team round bale roll, a sawdust hunt, a hay bale toss, and horseshoe hunt! After the winners have been branded, you can hit the open range and rope on over to the lasso station, roll up onto a wagon ride, curry on over to the grooming area, or cowboy up onto a horse and have yourself a ride. Before you harness up the family and trot home, we encourage you to pull up your britches for the All-American western dance that will close out the night. Pack a picnic dinner for the family to munch on at the farm. 5 - 8 pm: Open Activities: Wagon rides, grooming area, lasso station, and horseback riding 5:15 - 6:30 pm: Age categorized, family friendly competitions & horseshoe hunt 7:30 - 8:00 pm: DanceSummer 2022
