  • Driver Education Behind the Wheel

The six-hour Behind-the-Wheel experience is available following completion of the classroom session. Students must be at least 15 years old, have successfully completed 30 hours of Classroom Drivers Education and have their permit. We recommend waiting until closer to your DMV road test to do your three, 2-hour sessions. Work on adding driving hours to your practice log and then contact us three-four months before your road test to set up your appointments. *Email Marianne Moser, Enrichment Coordinator, at mmoser@northfieldschools.org to arrange dates/times that fit your schedule. Then after successful completion of the Behind-the-Wheel instruction, students will receive a Certificate of Completion Card which is necessary to apply for a driver's license. Cost for replacement of lost or damaged cards is $10. Please note: If you fail to attend the driving appointment you are registered for or cancel your appointment on the same day (within 12 hours) a drop/add fee of $30 will be assessed for each missed appointment if money is refunded, $30 will be subtracted from the registration fee
